Rounding method

ProfitPerSale converts USD entries to cents. Each percentage-derived fee is rounded independently to the nearest cent using decimal half-up rounding. Exact fixed fees are then added, and the $100 Offsite Ads cap is applied after percentage rounding.

This is an explicit estimation assumption. The accessible official help articles reviewed for this version did not state Etsy’s exact cent-rounding method, so the calculator must not be expected to reconcile exactly with an Etsy Payment account.

What is not included

  • One-time or location-dependent shop setup fees
  • Etsy Ads spend, unless you allocate it to “Other advertising cost”
  • Shipping labels, unless you enter the actual shipping and label cost
  • Currency conversion; v0 is US/USD only
  • Regulatory operating fees outside the US scope
  • VAT on seller fees
  • Refunds, credits, reserves, chargebacks, deposit fees, and taxes on seller fees
  • Income tax, self-employment tax, or other business taxes
